This is a good write-up, I was wondering if I could use this summary on my website, I will link it back to your website though. If this is a problem please let me know and I will take it down right away.
Today Wednesday. I found your website while searching for antique jewelry making. Great posting. Your information about From setting up to selling….how was the show? – The Finest Antique, Art and Jewelry Shows give me a lot of knowledge. Thanks.
although I spend a lot of of my time on the net trying to play video games like facebook poker or pet society, I nevertheless like to spend some spare time to check out a a small number of information sites on occasion and I am comfortable to report this recent blog post is honestly fairly effective and significantly improved than 50 % the other poor quality junk I read today , anyhow i’m off to play a smattering of hands of facebook poker
I want to thank the blogger very much not only for this post but also for his all previous efforts. I found usantiqueshows.com to be extremely interesting. I will be coming back to usantiqueshows.com for more information.
Simply, the information is truly the greatest on this worthwhile topic. I with your conclusions and willdesperately look forward to your upcoming updates. Expressing thanks will not be sufficient, for the exceptional clarity in your writing. I will immediately grab your rss feed to stay informed of any updates. Pleasant work and much success!
Move in and move out was easy as it can be no pressure .When we were moving in we could feel the energy we knew show will be awesome and it was. I wish this show was twice a year .Customer we spoke to they like the idea not having the other hall this was much easy for them to handle .Keep up the good work…………………………….
I’m glad to be back from Miami Beach after a stellar show! The number of attendees exceeded our expectations as we continue to work within an injured economy. However, we also heard that buying was much stronger than had been anticipated by most dealers–we truly hope the show was a fabulous success for everyone.
In response to Eirit, I’m sorry that no one posted any helpful hints for you prior to your move in–I hope it went smoothly and I hope you’ll get back to us on what went well and what didn’t. Our blog is brand new so we hope it will be more robust in the future.
In response to Gina–I really want to thank you for your feedback, we rely on our exhibitors and attendees to help us improve the show year over year. The particular issue you raise with the chairs is one we have heard before and we do make every attempt to place seating where we are allowed. However, we are also compliant to the building’s and Fire Mashall regulations which dictate that we cannot place chairs in the cross aisles of the show. In the event of an emergency, in order to vacate the halls, we would need those cross aisles clear to assist visitor’s in exiting the building. We will review the floor plan prior to next year’s show and try to place seating anywhere we are allowed.
We did move the concession area outside of the halls this year for a variety of business reasons which we know benefitted the show. Many attendees enjoyed the space outside of the show to sit, eat, drink or talk. We know that many folks need a break after walking some of the aisles (so do we!) and we had hoped this area outside the hall would be a pleasant place for folks to rest their feet. I’m sorry you left the show early, but I do promise we’ll review again with the building team and make sure that we’re placing chairs everywhere we can. Thank you again for your feedback.
Just got back from the show, as a customer, my 9th, and it was great as always, but I do have some comments. First of all, you need to put some chairs in the intersection between the rows…the show is so large that you often need a place to rest before you can go on. Even with the food court inside the show, (which it wasn’t this year) it’s still too far to take advantage of the chairs. I’ve been to many antique and art shows, and usually they place chairs in the intersections of the rows. Although there were some benches near the front, there weren’t enough and I heard many people talking about that there were no chairs.
We would have stayed longer at the show had we had a place to rest for a few minutes each day…..
you took my suggestion a couple of years ago to put a masseuer on the premises…so hopefully you’ll take this one too. Thanks ! Gina Vandroff
My family business will be doing the show for the first time this year, and it is a little daunting getting prepared and making sure everything is lined up. I was there last year as a helper, and won’t be there until the end of the week, however, on their behalf (A Zacaim Fine Art) we welcome any tips or suggestions for a smooth show, including set-up, breakdown, parking, etc.
Advance thanks.
Move in and move out can be tough and we do recognize that. We do focus on making the experience as pleasant as possible for our dealers. May I ask which things you don’t agree with? We can always try to adjust or perhaps explain why we do things the way we do.
